today

worked. got out early. made a nice lunch. took a nap. watched some food network. went to best buy and scored the new death cab for a nice price. went to target and had one of those we-need-three-things-let's-get-ten trips. came home. made a great dinner (bacon wrapped filets, roasted potatoes and these really good green beans). watched some daily show. listened to another disc other than the death cab that i was even more excited to get. played some nhl2005 using the beloved hartford whalers.

so today was a good day.

other than that, lately been outlining my book. have a lot of seemingly disconnected ideas that i need to straighten up and make them fly right. it has all made sense in my head for the past few months that i've been talking about it, but now actually doing it, it is going to be more of a task. been playing more guitar. living here completely gets me in the mood to play in a band again. so far since i got here, i've been to four shows. rainer maria and the no idea show last week (billy reese were amazing). absolutely excellent. just found out world leader pretend is coming through here in october. that rules. my cats are constant entertainment. and i enjoy my new job (so far).

i am very thankful.

reading: mind over matter by mike nelson (so much funnier than i remember), some old joe queenan articles/essays, the new sporting news hockey preview (can't wait).

watching: food network, tommy lee goes to college, date my mom, the office (us), firefly (only have a month to catch up before the movie), zero effect (just found the dvd used and cheap...i love gainesville). also went to see brothers grimm. and 40 year old virgin.

listening: giant drag, guided by voices, billy reese peters, rainer maria, firehose, tin machine, charlotte hatherley.
